Former Eagles Coach Amodu Shuaibu Dies of Heart Attack

The former super eagles coach and Nigerian football federation technical director Amodu Shuaibu died in his sleep after complaining of chest pain on Friday. He died three days after the death of super eagles’ coach Stephen keshi.

Shaibu Amodu was born in  April 1958 10 and died June 2016. He was a striker who played for Dumez and Niger Tornadoes . He stopped football after he had a broken leg.

Amodu has managed a number of club sides in Nigeria premier league, such as BCC LionsEl-Kanemi Warriors, and Shooting Stars; he also managed Orlando Pirates in South Africa.

His first official deal was coaching of the Nigerian national team from April 2001 to February 2002.

His death was confirmed this morning via a statement released by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF);

“NFF Technical Director, Amodu Shuaibu has died at the age of 58.

The four – time Coach of the Super Eagles complained of chest pains

on Friday night and died in his sleep. RIP Amodu Shuaibu’s death

comes three days after that of former Super Eagles Captain and Coach,

Stephen Keshi.”@thenff
