Life in campus in Nigeria and by extension Africa is nothing to write home about. The rates at which the youth of this generation go about their life imbibe western life in the name of enjoying life call for stricter action on the part of each Nigerian parents and godfather to play their role. The obvious scenario unfolding in campus categorically shows that our youth are discarding their beautiful cultures, thereby creating room for unknown culture in our society. The mass media is not helping matter specifically the private media. The mass media contributes to this ugly scenario in our society today. Instead of promoting Nigerian cultures to its society, they go extra miles to show case foreign culture to their society in the name of foreign relation. This attitude exhibited by the Nigerian mass media call for sanction. Because show casing foreign culture to your society is tantamount to promoting such foreign culture to your society in of promoting your own culture to the whole world and by extension preserving it for future generation. However, it is time to call all hands on deck to project and promote Nigeria unique culture to the world.
